The ComCS is versatile line control system containing Simatic S7/300 series PLC-controller, distributed I/O, Profibus DP industrial network and TFT touch panel for operator interface. Plc contains modular line control software engineered specially for cable line controls. Modularity of software allows easy integration of different line equipment, without massive software engineering for other line parts. PLC, control panel, auxiliary drives and electricity distribution are installed in the electrical cabinet, which can be placed directly next to the extruder. Main drives like extruder and caterpillars are connected to line control by Profibus DP industrial network. This reduces cabling and allows free placement for big drive cabinets.

Control panel provides dedicated screens for machine status, process values and set points thorough numerical values, graphs and/or display colours. Process values can be monitored with real-time trend displays. Alarms with appearance sequence, timestamp and history are available continuously. Production parameters can be stored to recipes, 300 different recipes with 500 parameters in each recipe is available. Optional printer can be attached for production reports.
